The Purpose of ECC Groups

God created all of us to live in community with others and only then can we experience the full life He intends for us (Genesis 2:18; Galatians 6:2). ECC believes life change happens in the context of relationships. Meaningful relationships can be hard to find, and ECC Groups exist to make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to our members and to the community beyond our walls.

2024 Fall Grief Share Weekly: Fridays at 6:30 PMWest Valley
33 Series Vol 3 Fall 2024Starting August 28th 33 Series Volume 3 introduces a framework and process that challenges and equips men to go below the superficial, look deep into their hearts and explore areas that are too easy to ignore. This series helps identify the deep idols of your heart and develop a “Battleplan” built on God’s grace. This series is stand alone and it is totally OK if you didn’t participate in 33 Series Volume 1 or 2. These six sessions include: 1. Idols: allowing anything other than God to be our true source of happiness. 2. Empty Promises: Solomon's journey and emptiness. 3. Battle Plan: admit, identify and replace idols. 4. Sexual Sin: every man's battle, renewing our minds. 5. Control: fear, work, anger and power can be traps for any man. 6. Significance & Comfort: less of me, more of God. This will be a great opportunity for men of different generations to come together and share life experience in a powerful and life changing way. Book cost is $15.Wednesday at 6:30 PMCentral Valley
A Gospel Thread: Jesus Foretells His Death and ResurrectionThree different times in the gospels Jesus foretold his upcoming death and resurrection. Each time it is clear that his closest disciples did not understand what he was saying. They understood that Jesus was the Messiah; they did not understand what kind of kingdom Jesus was bringing. If those closest to Jesus while he was on earth misunderstood him, it is possible that we could misunderstand him today. This class will look at what the disciples knew about Jesus, and why they misunderstood what Jesus was doing, so that we can examine what we understand about his kingdom.Sunday at 10:30 AMCentral Valley

Danielson Mens GroupWe are open to new guys! We are currently reading John Eldredge's book Resilient together. The human soul has a built-in yearning for joy and beauty and all good things. But that craving for life has taken a real beating in recent years. Between false promises of ease and comfort on one side and the sheer trauma of global disease and disasters on the other, we are facing a shortage of peace, happiness, and strength. In Resilient, Eldredge provides skills and tools to strengthen your heart and soul—and reveals a path toward genuine recovery and resilience provided by Jesus himself. Drawing on wisdom from Scripture and Christian tradition, and illustrated throughout with powerful, true stories of grit and survival. Thriving requires a resilient soul. This book will help you find the resilience you need when the world has gone mad—and discover in Jesus himself the strength that prevails.Thursday at 7:00 AMCentral Valley

Experiencing the Spirit : Kuna CampusThis 12 week study, Experiencing the Spirit by Henry Blackaby dives into learning about the Holy Spirt and the influence that He has in our lives. In Experiencing the Spirit, Henry and Melvin Blackaby explore the foundational truths about the gift and the work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life, revealing how Jesus' teaching about the life of God in us powers our supernatural purpose and guides us in the fulfillment of our relationship with God day by day. Only through the Helper, our Advocate, the very presence of God within, is the simple experience of this awesome indwelling reality available. Just as the Spirit-centered actions of the early Christians resulted in people all around being "filled with wonder and amazement," you can experience the final step of fully living in the peace, joy, power, and purpose of God, and release His ultimate promise in the lives around you. You will need to purchase a book ($15.00) on Amazon or other retailers.Tuesday at 6:30 PMKuna

To that end, we start our evenings with a potluck dinner, and then spend the rest of the time in our study. This fall's study will be "A Couple After God's Own Heart" by Jim and Elizabeth George. This will be a 10 week study that we will use the book and workbook for understanding the concepts and creating space for conversation with our spouses regarding the topics presented. A Couple After God's Own Heart allows you and your spouse to discover how to: -Experience the excitement and intimacy God always intended -Learn from the successes and failures of couples in the Bible -Handle tough decisions with grace instead of conflict -Communicate without fear and misunderstanding -Function as a team and present a united front by embracing goals that support that Trust God's leading even when the way forward seems hidden No child care provided.Tuesday at 6:00 PMCentral Valley

Jesus' Farewell Message* An ECC Class! Overview: This class is an excellent starting place for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each Lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview daily. Taught by Tim Perkins. Our next study, Jesus' Farewell Message, is by Francis Chan. Do you know Jesus? It’s one thing to know facts about him, but to experience his love, wisdom, and guidance in your life is what it means to follow him. On the night before he was crucified, Jesus invited his disciples into a deep relationship with the triune God—and his invitation stands for us too. In this 6-part series, Francis Chan dives into John 13–17, a passage rich in promises, commands, and eternal truths. He’ll remind us we aren’t called to a part-time faith—we were made to know, walk with, and commune with God.Weekly: Sundays at 9:00 AMCentral Valley

The Sermon on the Mount: Jesus' Discourse on DiscipleshipAn in-depth look at Jesus' famous "Sermon on the Mount" from Matthew 5-7. This sermon of Jesus is the first of five blocks of Jesus' teaching found in the Gospel of Matthew. Jesus has inaugurated his public ministry, called some disciples to follow him, and shown his power over nature, demons, and sickness. He has called people to repent, because the kingdom of heaven is near. Now, in this sermon, he lays out the ethical demands of his kingdom, and challenges his followers to change their lives, so that their righteousness is greater than even the Pharisees. 21 centuries later, we can still hear Jesus' challenge to become more like him, as we move forward in our journey of obedience.Sunday at 10:30 AMCentral Valley
